About Me

I'm Rohan Saunders, a Registered Building Practitioner and building consultant with 25 years in the construction and property industry.

I use my unique experience across building, inspections and dispute resolution to help everyday property owners make confident decisions, protecting them from costly defects, failed builds and drawn-out disputes.

My career has given me a rare combination of perspectives. I've directly overseen more than 10,000 building projects as a builder. I've conducted over 5,500 building inspections and reports. Very few consultants have seen the industry from the builder's side, the inspector's side, and the consumer's side. I've stood in all three.

I'm formally qualified with a BCom(Hons) and registered as both a Domestic Building Practitioner (DB-U 25699) and a Commercial Building Practitioner (CB-L 31084). I'm a member of the Building Disputes Practitioners Society and the Australian Institute of Waterproofing, and I specialize in Leaky Building Syndrome, because water is behind the vast majority of the defects I'm called to investigate.

Early in my career I made a point of working 'on the tools' alongside tradespeople across every trade. That hands-on grounding means I don't just know what the standards say. I know how buildings actually go together, where corners get cut, and what good workmanship looks like up close.

Over the years I've built an extensive A-Z technical library of codes, standards and manufacturer installation guides, and I use only the best digital measuring equipment on the market. When my name goes on a report, every finding is backed by credible, defensible evidence.

My commitment on every job is the same: add value, solve the problem, pay attention to the detail, and manage expectations honestly — so you can make property and building decisions with confidence.
